A new concept room in which two delegates from a single school will work together and represent one nation as a delegation rather than a singular delegate. This room will undergo clause by clause debate and is categorised as an advanced - invitation only room. The countries represented are: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In this room delegates will get to debate pressing international issues in a clause by clause style. Countries represented include the five permanent members: China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, along with ten rotating non-permanent members. This is considered an advanced room.
This committee focuses on regional issues in the rapidly economically developing arab region, focusing on sustainability of arab economies as the newly emerging international hubs of the world. This is a semi-advanced room which represents 21 arab nations.
The African Union is one of the core organs of SJCMUN as an African conference, this committee debates concepts that are close to home and are faced by the youth participating in the conference. Exclusively African nations are represented in this intermediate room, engaging in the future of our precious continent.
SFC is a room that takes you to the future to discuss potential world-shattering events that could occur in the the years to come. Discussing the theoretical sustainability of the future world. This room is considered to be intermediate, and has a mixture of nations from various economic backgrounds.
The ECOSOC is one of the six main organs of the United Nations and with this year's theme it is an integral part of our mission to promote sustainable economies and future development whilst preserving social norms of human rights. This is one of our intermediate rooms.
The Third General Assembly is a human rights focused committee and is one of our conferences larger committees, the room will have a mixture of intermediates and beginners and will focus on issues such as cultural preservation in an age of rapid development.
The Fourth General Assembly is focused on politcal stability and ethical development. This committee will debate on issues such as atomic radiation as an after effect of development as well as preventing arms races. This room will have a mixture of intermediates and beginners.
Promoting the youth is one of our core aims here at SJCMUN, the Youth Assembly is our beginner room in which debaters will get the chance to learn more about debating procedure whilst also getting to debate pressing issues regarding sustainable development.
